NERD stands for the name of a company. New England Reptile Distributers. It is located in New Hampshire. www.newenglandreptile.com
also. In Providence RI, regal reptiles has some and I've done buisness with them and they rule. Go to herp shows such as the new england reptile extravaganza. They have a show almost every month. In N.Y, providence, Boston and Manchester.

: I would like to keep a russian tortoise in New Jersey. I know they are no sold in NJ, does anybody know where I can buy one around Tri-State area? NY, CT, PA is fine.

: Also, any words of wisdom as far as keeping a tortoise in NJ - am I going to have hard time if it gets sick and no vets will treat it?
