Sam, I use the following guide as a minimum for the enclosure size. 10L long x 5L wide x 2L high where L is the length of the tortoise. Kleinmanns tortoises are very active when they are active. Try to provide as much space as possible.
Breeding is a neat question because there is a note of a captive raised female producing viable eggs at 4 years of age. The female was about 4 inches long and was herself hatched by the breeder of note from wild caught animals. So what we have is second generation kleinmanni. To me a very exciting note.
