Even if Burbrink's creation of 4 new species is inaccurate, do you agree that the 'accepted' subspecies (obsoleta, quadrivittata, spiloides, lindheimeri) may or may not be true evolutionary divisions? I think thats what I got most out of that paper.

I realize that this has been beaten to death, but it seems most of the arguments arise from the new species designations rather than the discouragement of more accepted subspecies and I just want to see what people think about the latter.
