kingsnake sickness

HELP! My son's 3 foot kingsnake is sick. He will not eat. He holds his mouth open and throws up water. Sometimes he shakes his head back and forth and hisses. I'm wondering can snakes get rabies? He has only been fed fuzzies and babies from the pet shop but his behavior is odd. We have had him for two years and he has shed many times but we have never experienced this odd behavior.
