Big Lizard

A friend of my father gave me this big lizard as a present. He said it was a Rino iguana. We live in a big house in Malibu Canyon. Can you give me some advice on how to take care of it?
I presently have it in an empty water trough with some hay in it in my horse's paddock. She doesn't seem to bother it. What does it eat? How hot does it have to be?
