I live in Houston, Texas and do not go out herping in other states or areas really, which is probably just as good as the herping is pretty darn good where I live. I have a fav. spot about 20 min away that produces snakes just about every trip, from rats to cottonmouths to copperheads. Kings are there too, just having trouble finding them. It has a ditch, sand dune kind of areas, plains, fields, forests, lowlands...basically all of Texas wrapped into one area lol. Andy
