I was downstairs in my basement feeding my eastern box turtles. I have two Mini Pinchers as pets and they always try to steal the turtle's food.(only dogs I ever saw that loved romaine lettuce)But one of my males got mad and instead of going into his shell. The fearless turtle bit my dog on the nose. The turtle goes with the yelping dog up the steps. It happened so fast and my pup now knows that the turtle will not let another animal take his food. My pup has a bump on her nose from the bite but all is well with the turtle. I always see these stories of damage done to turtles by dogs well this dog won't even go close to my turtle pin now.
