Their skin is extremely porous and absorbs anything that touches it. The salts and oils on humans' hands are not good for the frog. Put two and two together and, no you dont get 4, you get trouble. Stress can also kill the frog as although it may seem like it wants to snuggle, probably just likes the warmth of your hand.
