I've been collecting reptiles ever since I can remember.In my better days I could say that nearly nothing could get away from me without a good plan of escape.My hunting buddy always said I was a nut, because I would treat every snake equally at the time of capture.Like once we were road hunting and I spotted a Black Racer.It was about half way across the street when I jumped out of the car and darted towards it.At this time (like any one who has attempted to catch a racer in hot weather would tell you) the racer started to turn around and in a flash he was off.In the mean time I found myself cruising through the air(DOING THE RACER DIVE) and over the guard rail where I met up with the racer face first and caugh it.I was slightly bruised but no big thing I was unbreakable. I took a break from snake hunting for a while and emphizized more on the exotic lizards that abound in my region.Then a few years and about 60 pounds later I decided to go back to collecting snakes.One day while road hunting we came across a Blue striped gartersnake again about half way across the road I jumped out of the car with momentum,I tripped over a branch that was next to the car and DID THE RACER DIVE dirrectly into the dirt with my face in a slight depression in the ground.As I layed there my partner noticed I had disapeared and came around the car to investigate.He just stood there over me cracking up while I recovered.I smelled the scent of total #$$#@*&@!!%^&.
The moral to this story; I'M GETTING OLD!
