i live on the Delmarva peninsula in the Va part. the nearest petco is in maryland- an hour away. the place where i got my mountain horned dragon is near there but is MUCH betterhere is some pros and cons.

petco:
pros
pretty good taken of animals
cons
only have 4 species of reptile. (3 of which are anoles)
staff is right down dumb

my store (super pets)
pros
captive bred
MUCH larger selection (about 15 lizards, 'bout 9 snakes.)
non stressed animals
seem taken care of
cons

to many in one tank
my lizard just for 2 of them require at least a 60 gal tank.
there where about 4 in a 10 gal

now the store where i get my worms is REALLY GOOD.
last time i went there was a big scary black dude (no offence) when we get in he walks right up to us and says "is there any i could get you" i was too intimidated to talk. it ook him about 4 minutes to get 12 crickets and 100 mealworms.
