So you guys are the expert, any views??

Softshells are prone to various shell difficulties - including fungus. In this case I treat and dry tank it (dim the light - allow the treatment to dry then return to water) for a couple hours every day. Softshells stress out if they are kept out of water too long so we can not do this as we would for a hardshell turtle.

Remove anything sharp from the tank - a bare tank or soft sand substrate is best for these guys. In addition if you can slightly acidify the water it will be less hospitable to fungus.

A care sheet can be found at: http://www.chelonia.org/Articles/softshellcare.htm or it and many others can be found by going to the link below and clicking "care sheets"
