Acriflavine useage!!!

Hi; can anyone tell me the frequency and duration of Acriflavine treatment? The bottle says 1 teaspoon for every 5-10 gallons, but gives no dosing schedule. I'm treating a snapping turtle with some minor skin problems. Info on acheiving proper acid levels without an acid buffer in 25 and 50 gallon ponds would be helpful too!
