NIAD

What is NIAD? It stands for National Iguana Awareness Day and we are looking for volunteers - especially herp. societies. Our web page is at http://www.niad.org.
The idea is to educate the world on the care of the green iguana so that fewer unexperienced people will buy iguanas. We see too many cases of an iguana being bought
and then dying within 6 months, or is given to reptile rescues, zoos, ..., the street!! So I started this day of celebration.
We need good people to help us, as well as herp societies, so that we can eventually put a stop to this. It may not work this year, or next year...but I have hope that
we can help these fantastic creatures.
