Atlanta or Athens, GA Herp Societies?

hi there, was just wondering what the nearest Herp Society is to Atlanta or Athens, GA. i'm not a professional, just someone who owns two Desert California Kingsnakes and loves them. :) i've found some Yahoo groups, but they aren't posted in very much so i would love find a reptile enthusiasts page, especially one relating to snakes, and Kingsnakes in general. any suggestions? thanks so much! :)
