Let me jump in here.I've had them grow to 8 inches in length in 1 year. Fed properly, snappers grow fast, and I've found, the more vegetable matter they consume, the faster they grow. Mine consume mass quantities of duckweed, and other water plants. I encourage it, as in the wild, plants make up 80 percent of the common snappers diet.

:what do you feed your and what are there length? Don't you think they may be growing too fast? hey I would like to see a picture of them side by side.
