:Hey Phew- Every year I have some hatchling common snappers that end up with some type of tail damage ie. nipped. I don't send these out with the others as my customers consider them "B" grade. So I hold them back and raise them up a little then release them in my Snapper pond. I keep them in clean water and feed them normaly. And I have never had one where the tail didn't heal up just fine. They don't regenerate, but they heal up nice. thats just mt experience. Lynn

By the way the temp is important. I keep any with injuries at 80 degrees F. If they are kept cool with an injury it is a perfect place for white fungus to develop. Lynn
