My snappers are about 3" long right now. I want to build a new custom tank.
About 64"long by about 10"high.(14"wide)
I have access to 1/4 clear acylic at work , but I always liked the clarity of glass.Plexi seems to look good, but only for a while ( Also no scratches.)
I was thinking of making an acrylic tank with a glass front panel. Not sure if this would stick with silicone. I don't think the glass would stay on the plexi . Pretty sure it wouldn't.
I'd really like to make a wood tank with a nice glass front. I'm a wood-worker. but don't know what you would coat wood with Fibreglass? That might get to be a pain-in the-ass. I was told there was a really thick epoxy paint that I could make a nice wood enclosere with a glass front.
Anyway, I want to make a long shallow tank. Glass front.
Any ideas to throw out? I'm pretty open to ideas and I'm pretty handy.
