Even when picking him up correctly, be aware that they can thrust their heads out with enough force to straiten your fingers out as the neck skin tightens, causing you to loose your grip instantly. So be careful lifting him over hard surfaces. I dropped my 111#er twice in a row like that. Luckily it was a soft landing.
