Ya, I received some ali snapper hatchlings with the same white fungus, including on their heads and tails. I treated them with the solution in which tropical fish stores store the fish nets, ACRIFLAVIN. It comes in the form of drops and what worked for me was two drops in a an inch or two of water in a ten gallon tank. The salt alone didn't work for me so, I combined both. This had worked both times that I needed. I changed the water daily and applied the drops for a total of ten consecutive days.
