The Corucia Conservation Alliance was established in March of 2001, by a small but highly concerned group of people dedicated to the proper husbandry, research on, and conservation of the lizard commonly known as the “Monkey” or “Prehensile-Tailed” Skink; the scientific name being Corucia zebrata.
