I can sympathize with you regarding your animals...most regs are overkill, but you identified the two main problems, 1) most lawmakers don't enforce the regs(and I can't blame them, what's the harm in someone having say a few Mehrten's or timor monitors) and 2) there are others completely ignoring the regs. Don't take "Twits" Personally. I've had others wanting to purchase certain snakes from me(e.g., Bothrops) and they tell me "I live in the Bronx, or Queens ..and I already have other rattlesnakes so it's ok..." and my reply is "No it's not ok. If you don;t have a permit, I'm not selling you one".

Asking to ship them is one thing, blatently saying 'They're illegal here!" lacks a whole lot of common sense.

Hope you make out alright with them.
