Hey guys....

I don't know if any of you have heard about this species (but I'm sure most of you have, and not remembered the name - check Pg11 of the April 2K2 Reptiles! magazine), or see the link below.

Sphaerodactylus ariasae

This is the newly discovered (in December) gecko which is supposed to be the smallest of all 35,000 known species of mammals, birds & reptiles.

Well, basically, I've got a friend who lives in the Dominican Republic, where this species is found, who is attempting to locate some specimens for study & breeding attempts.

Does anybody know where I can find information on laws regarding importing these from the Dominican Republic to the US (Florida).

Thanks

John
