I don't know who to talk to in the herp society, so I'll post it here and let everyone consider it. I spoke to Fred about the breeder forum at the last meeting. It sounded like we were hurting for speakers. I spoke to Jeff Barringer the other night and asked if he would be willing to fly out to speak at a meeting. He said he would. If we can figure how to pay for a plane ticket he can stay at my house for free. Topics such as herp commerce on the web, gray band kingsnakes, herp law, upcoming political issues and more could be discussed. We all use his (this) web site and should all be members of NRAAC so we should all be familiar with who he is. This is one idea I had on how to raise a few bucks, auction. If we can get a few breeders to join in we can raise lots of $$ fast. At an upcoming meeting we can each bring in one or more of this years hatchlings or left overs that are eating our profits. We can have a quick auction before or after the meeting. I will comit to bringing a bearded dragon, leopard gecko, kingsnake or maybe a taiwan beauty. I know our own society needs money too, so maybe this will be a catylist for future fund raisers. I am guilty of missing alot of meetings myself lately, but we need to do something to get more hobbiests involved or the group will fade away. Comments???
