A little damage control

I appreciate your honesty and willingness to give the society
a chance despite the less-than-cordial comments on
this forum. I explained my personal comments in an earlier
post, so i will not repeat them. Let me first remind you
that many of the people who post on this forum
are not in fact members of the society or even casual attendies.
Secondly, the lack of actual herp content may be due
to the large number of specific herp forums also on this site.
Most pertanent posts probably end up there instead of here.
Therefore this forum is used by people who are generally
friends or who know each other at least well enough
to say things that may seem crass or rude to outsiders.
This is not an excuse, its just a possible explanation.
I do agree that there should be more useful herp content on this forum.
There are a lot of great herpers in this county to
go along with our great herp population. Please do not
judge the society wholly on what was displayed in this forum.
