In Reply to: Bay of La female rosy boa regurgitated after breeding? more. posted by markg on May 07, 2003 at 12:36:18:

:I don't know what kind of reply you are looking for. It is not a rule that females regurge after breeding. Then again, it is good practice to not disturb snakes for a few days after feeding. You would have done better to put them together a few days later instead of the same day you fed them. Oh well, no lasting damage has been done. When you put the female back in her cage, let her get settled for a few days, then you can try a small meal. She will likely be fine. Gravid rosies may feed like crazy for a few weeks then stop. Some will eat small food almost the entire pregnancy. Some won't eat much at all. It is important that she be well fed before breeding. Give her a hide spot over the basking area, and also give her a cooler area. If gravid, she will likely not leave the warm area until ready to give birth.
