I think it depends on your water source and whether you feel comfortable drinking it yourself. Here in the west we have some very mineralized water, often containing a fair amount of calcium carbonate and/or sodium. That, along with "additives" (like chlorine, and others) can make municipal water, in my opinion, pretty un-palatable. Consequently I drink bottled water and give it to my reptiles as well...they don't use enough of it to make a big difference, cost-wise. Does it help them health-wise...I have no idea, but it's just my personal preference.

:i noticed on the post below about morphs that it was stated bottled water should be used. i use decloronated water that has been aged is this okay or should i go by some bottled. thanks ahead of time .
