I'd have to say that most of them spend the entire time trying to get away from you, albeit slowly. They're burrowing snakes and can feel quite uncomfortable when exposed. They're also unable to coil around your arm like most snakes do. However, if you put them under a blanket or your shirt they usually calm down, and then you can hang out with them and pet their silly tails. Also, some young ones go through a very nippy phase (think sideways lunges) but they grow out of it.
