Mix up a 10% bleach solution and scrub the piece of wood real good. You could even soak it in the solution for a while before scrubing. Afterwards rinse it and set it in a sunny place to dry thouroughly. Should be fine to use then!

Cleaning "furniture" from one cage to another is always a good idea!
