well, i think some people prefer wild type animals, and other's prefer crazy morphs. IMO, if it is pretty, it has a better chance of coming home than if it is localy pure...BUT, i do appreciate that some people work very hard to maintain the integrity of particular localities and lineages. i will probably never buy a hybrid though, i have to draw the line somewhere.
think of localities and morphs as dog breeds: they are the same species, but radicaly different depending on how they have been bred, or how they havent been bred...why would anyone want a pure bred dog, when maybe a cross would be more attractive???
so thats my theory..
