Hi.
I did this experiment 3 days ago but didn´t have the opportunity to post the results until now..
The other day I caught my female darkmorph leachie basking on a branch so I asked her if she´d be so kind as to help me with a little expåeriment, whith she did, so I taped some black tape on her back.

About 30 minutes later I removed the tape and noticed that where the tape had once been the pigment of the skin was darker than the rest of the animal.
It doesn´t show as clearly on the photos as it did in RL.
Also, if I had let the tape sit for longer maybe the color difference would be more clear. Aslo I suspect that the ambient temps in the enclosure play a significant role in coloration too.
Anyway, enjoy. Banded leachies for you. =)
