I have both and I can say both are equaly fun :-], just different. As far as ease of care they are both similar, and both make great pets.

Leopard Geckos require more heat (around 88 on the warm side) and Crested need to be kept cooler, in the high 70's on the warm side.
Leos need more floor space while crested need more vertical space.
Crested need more humitidy, and leos only a humid hide box
Both eat insects but crested also eat fruits :-]
Crested also need more "plants" and areas to hide in, while with leos you can use hide boxes.
Both can be handled and both have great personalitys, also as far as "interaction" both are active (although leos can get lazy) and interesting to watch.

If I where you I'd just get both :-]
