I don't use any of the chemical cocktail cleansers on, nor in my tanks and cages, unless it's completely empty and being readied for another setup. For cleaning inside inhabited tanks, I use vinegar on a sponge or paper towel to clean the glass, then wipe thoroughly with a damp paper towel or two, until it's all dry. The outside gets cleaned the same way. Since the geckos tend to lick the surfaces, I'm not risking them picking up any traces of a potentially lethal cleanser. For quarantine tanks, I usa a paper towel dampened with hydrogen peroxide first, then the regular cleaning.

For hand washing afterwards, I use good old soap and hot water after routine cleaning/handling. If the animal is in quarantine or sick, I use hydrogen peroxide to wash up first, then hot water and soap.

You can use whatever you want, but just don't leave any chemical residue inside where the geckos can contact it, and don't use anything that will leave fumes for them to breathe. I've heard a few nasty stories about herps and Lysol, so I never use it around them.
