:Dustin is right those are not mites. True, mites can be red (or black), but if you look closely they protrude (the mites) from the body. Seeing legs and movement are also a dead give a ways...hehe. Your crested just has some pretty red spots. Like Dustin said crested geckos can change quite a bit, esp while growing. Even my adults look like totally different animals sometimes. Thats the fun of it =). Nice gecko by the way.
