Penelope has been digging and laying in her nesting box for a few days now so I've been checking daily for signs of eggs. Well when I got home today she had laid them but in front of the nesting box not in it. I was really wanting her to produce some nice babies but I honestly don't think these eggs will be good. One is still shaped good but looks dry but the other one is shaped more like a tictac. I went ahead and placed them in the container with the two eggs we got from another female, maybe we'll get lucky.

Does anyone have any ideas of why she decided not to use her nesting box?
