Again I agree with you, we think totally alike =). The more fruit you give these guys the slower they will grow obviously. So anybody feeding lots or all fruit diets (even Allen’s till I see proof) will have slower growth rates. Nothing beats a diet of insects with a little fruit on the side. Since crested geckos are mostly insectivores they grow and reach maturity the fastest. Aurics have a bigger sweet tooth then crested geckos and most prefer fruit at least while they are young. So as Ian said 18 months should be the minimum at which you attempt to breed your guys. At 12-14 months you can cause some serious stress to their bodies and possibly stunt their growth. Of course other rhacs, specifically leachies you should wait every longer to accurately sex and breed.
