Did you say they are 8 months old and are 5 inches and 2 inches long??? I am a recent newbie to crestie's (have other lizards though) and my crested is 2 months old and 5 inches long. Either they are extremely small for their age or you were told a fib.
From everything I have been told and read you should be able to sex them at 8 months old.

:well here i am i bought a pair male and female. supposed to be 8 months old each one is 5 inches the other 2 inches. how big before i can sex them. i was told you can tell at 2 inches that is why i payed 800.00 for the 2.
