In Reply to: I just got her in January.......... posted by STARMOM on April 08, 2003 at 07:40:23:

:And she was soooooooooooooooo tiny, smaller than Abby my crested when I got her and I thought she was small at the time.

:I try to leave "hatchlings" alone for the most part, no to stress them out etc, just go into the cage for cleaning, feeding etc...

:I have now just started holding her for short periods inside her tank because if you have had "gizzards" as we call them at first they are just looking around wild eyed on where they can "jump" to and escape, they dont realize that the hand is not gonna hurt them....

:Sierra is now starting to relax after a few wild eyed moment, and im sure that in time will like us humans as much as the rest do! :)
:The only difference with gargolyles that they possess two "shart fangs" that I understand hurt pretty bad if you get them in your finger....she has NOT attempted to bite us and hopefully wont ever...

:I hope this answers your question.........
:Sue

::haha, cute. are they as friendly as cresteds?
