Amputation is possible for an experienced vet. Not only can it be done, but the animal can still breed and fertilize females with no problems. Surgery on reptiles has come a long way with much more complicated procedures being done. If it was treated in time it could have been teased back in. However at this point it probably cannot be saved. I have been discussing this with Dustin for a couple of days now. The animal most likely does have MBD and who knows what other medical problems as a result of the breeder’s pathetic husbandry methods.
