Under calcified eggs appear splotchy. It is kind of hard to explain, just look for unevenness in the shell pattern. Don’t worry about an unevenness in color that is sometimes normal depending on what the eggs were laid in. As far as what weight not to breed at it really depends on the animal. Some are smaller in length but still have enough girth for breeding. Just use your best judgment, as long as the animals are eating and appear to have good weight, there should be no problems. However animals should always obviously get a break from each other for a few months to replenish their bodies.
