The person I got them from was feeding fruit baby food, she was opening the mouth and using a flat edge like a knife or gcredit card to put it in, I do not like this approach so I have been doing just what you said, I put a drop of baby food on their nose and they lick it off, I feel much more comfortable with this even though it takes longer. I was going to feed the little guy who seizured, when I picked him up he opened his mouth really wide then seizured, so I just put him back thinking he'd be dead in the morning. He survived and seems ok, and both look the same so I am not entirely sure which one it was that seizured.
I have only given Peach food so far, I have mixed a bit of calcium in it, and electrolytes. One of them has brightened up a little bit. I have not tried live food yet but I just got some tiny crix so I will tonight. I have them in two tall rubbermaids and I spritz them twice a day. One of them is having a hard time with stuck shed on his legs and feet. Both of them wiegh 4 grams and are 7 or 8 months I believe. I also wormed them both with panacur, (a very small amount).
I am wondering if I should increase their heat, but I am not entirely sure how to go about doing that without making it too hot. I'm a snake and bearded dragon person. I have UTHs for my snakes and a heat lamp for my dragon. They seem so cold.

Thank you so much!!

:Okay I apologize I just read your original post now. What exactly was it that you were trying to feed them that they were not eating. Did you try both live prey and fruit mashes? Force-feeding was not a good idea, if not done correctly it can choke the animal. All you had to do was place some mashed fruit (or baby food) on the tip of the snout. The gecko will then lick it off. This method is slower but much more effective and less stressful on the animal. Of course the fruit has to be properly supplemented with the right vitamins and protein. Mix some fruit (nectar fruits) and meat baby foods in a 2:1 ratio (fruit to meat). Hand feed through a syringe or spoon. Also did you force-feed the gecko before it had the seizure? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure what happened.
