lesions on cresteds face

this morning i found my male had three scrapes on his face. Last night i tried to put a female in his tank but he was being very agressive so i took the female out. Do you think that these lesions are from the female dragging the male around and scratching him with her back claws or should i shell out 66$ and get a vet to look at him?
