I really do not use a set amount. Maybe a dozen grains for every heaping tablespoon worth. I just premix it in a tiny amount of hot water so it completely dissolves then mix it in to my fruit or fruit/meat mixes right before feeding. You can add too much in the fact it will thicken the mix like jello. However I don’t believe you can harm them by adding too much, it is rather nutritious, just don’t over do it.
