I have never heard of that before, but I can understand how it might work. Sugars and salts can absorb liquids. Soaking the animal in it just might bring the swelling down enough so he can “suck” it back in himself or for you to tease it back in easier. However I would think higher concentrations (to the point where it is not dissolving anymore) would work better then diluted ones. That way there is more sugar to help absorb any fluid in the hemipenis. Either way that’s a really a great tip Monte, I would have never thought of that…lol. Nick, give it a try and see if it works, however don’t attempt teasing it if it still won’t go in. Like I said you can seriously injure the animal, he will still need to go to the vet in that situation.
