I guess it's time to drop the webmaster a note to change it for us. They probably used the skink forum format as a template and forgot to change the search instructions. That's what happens when you let humans near computer coding :)

As has been posted, cresties drop their tails very easily, and it's not a reflection on you or the care you're giving him.
If it's any consolation, there seems to be some circumstantial evidence that tailless males breed better, and grow bigger. Some people don't buy that theory, but the two tailless males I have sure tend to prove it true.
