I did not mean to imply that breeding two oranges together would produce different patterned offspring. The adults I showed were different colors and patterns, hence all the different variations in their young. I was just trying to show examples of color change as they aged. True you may get hatchlings that end up looking exactly like their parents, but they usually don’t start out that way. When born they typically are darker. At least that is what I have seen in my experiences and in others.
