When I purchased Ginny on Saturday I thought she was very pretty and well worth the money. Here is one of the pics I posted of her a few days ago...

I was told this was her "dull" coloring and that she was usually much brighter. While I hoped this to be true I tried not to get my heart set on it and was happy with her the way she was. Imagine my surprise (and joy) when I went downstairs yesterday and was greeted with what looked to be an almost different animal!

Here's another shot...

When I checked on her on Sunday (the day after I got her) she had faded to a wonderful peach color. I didn't get pics cuz I thought she needed time to settle in. Just couldn't resist getting the pics yesterday when I saw how much she'd colored up :-)

I'm going to put a nest box in with her. She's on the chubby side. I can't see/feel any eggs but better safe than sorry. I'm not sure if the prev owner had her housed alone or with a male.
