He's in a naturalistic setup, but I'm (since yesterday) hobbling the crickets and putting them in a bowl.

Tonight he's been alot more active earlier, though he still hasn't approached the crickets. As I write this (9:39 pm pst) he's about eight inches above his bowl looking down. So I'm leaving him alone and hoping he'll go for 'em.

I've a feeling it's a matter of "culture" shock. He's used to his former owner's dark storage garage where he lived in a vision cage, until recently, when he spent several weeks in a small plastic tub in what looked like a colubrid storage rack.

Here's to hoping he gets acclimated soon. Maybe a mate would bring him out of his shell?

:Hi Marty,
:I recomend a very simple cage setup first. Papertowel substrate, one piece of climbing material, water dish and a hide box.
:Once you feed him you will know if he has eaten by either seeing his droppings or seeing less crickets. If you have a naturalistic setup it will be very hard to determine if the crickets have been eaten or are just hiding. So i highly recomend the simplistic setup. Hope this helps.
