When I bought my first leachie a little over a year ago I didn't have an enclosure for him. I decorated the bathroom with live plants, hides, thick branches and a thermo/hygrometer to monitor temps % humidity.
Anyway. He was skittish in the beginning and didn't come out much but as time went by he settled in and after a while I laid up the plans to build him an anclosure. The pic is from the period when he was not secure enough to sleep in the open but didn't always bother to find a good hide. I ghuess he thought that as long as his head was hidden no one could see him. ^_^

:I have a somewhat humorous story of what happened last night with my new little Female GT Leachie (now named Matilda by my dad). I check all of my Rhacs before I go to bed, just to see how they are doing, it's usually a funny sight. Well, I looked in to see her chowing down on her supplemented baby food, but instead of being clean about it, she was actually inside the gatorade cap, licking the baby food off of herself. That's not it though, I left her alone, checked my others and went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I changed all the water dishes, and to do so, I had to move Matilda. When I went to do this she didn't budge. I looked down closer and the baby food she had gotten all over herself the night before was now cementing her to the paper towel floor. Deciding this was a delicate manner, I lifted the whole paper towel out, soaked it a little, and gently peeled away the the Leachie from the Paper. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy and upon releasing her back into her enclosure, she "hit the ground running, err, flopping" towards the hidebox. Although it seemed kind of scary at the time, I looked back and had a good laugh. Thanks for reading, and if you'd like add one of your funny Rhac stories.
