He got slapped around a little for repeating the same questions over and over again. Several which he could have answered for himself by doing a forum search. Overall though they did not thump him as hard as some people have gotten it. The people on these forums (even the HL forum) are always more than willing to help beginners, but they do expect the questioners to at least do a little research beforehand. (Like searching the forum for the answers before posting). I personally will never give someone an answer they can easily find for themselves. To often the questioners are expecting someone else to do the work for them and that is one reason why the regulars can sometimes get a little frustrated and short tempered. We understand that sometimes certain necessary information is not easy to find and that is great, ask away in that case, but the general feeling is that someone that can/will not take the time to do the preliminary work and research will probably not take the time to care for any animal they may get. This is esp. true in the case of animals which have very specific requirments, such as Horned lizards or Dart frogs. Knowledge or advice just handed out is not near as valuable or retained as long as that which is worked for. Remember everyone here VOLUNTEERS their time and effort into making it all work.
