Age of sexability?

How long, old, or heavy does a cresty have to be to be considered mature enough to be sexed? I have one that I got a few months ago and it's about 10 grams now. Also, I think it is refusing to eat any baby food. I have never seen it lick any at all in the time I have had it. It eats crickets like they are going out of style though.
